Detroit By Design: New Bankle Headquarters

After helping the 555 Studio/Gallery move to Detroit Rich Rice asked a few old friends to help support the art organizations move to Detroit by showing artwork at its first opening called “Connections” in October 2004. Among these special artists was an old friend Camilo Pardo.

Soon afterwards, Camilo and Detroit By Design Director, Rich Rice, mapped out plans for a new era of programming at the Bankle Building with Detroit By Design taking assuming residence with a new office, photography studio and gallery.

In the next year Detroit By Design would host 15 special events in the building working in concert with Camilo Pardo’s Art In Development corporation.
