“It’s Okay, We’re Here” Detroit By Design Skateboard Art & Culture Show

Detroit By Design was proud to launch its first major art exhibition in the Bankle Building July 29, 2005. The event was curated by NYC Paper Magazine Editor Carlo McCormick,DIA Photo Curator Nancy Barr and DBD Director Rich Rice. International skateboard Celebrity Bill Danforth was the feature skater. Wound design team Sarah Lapinski and Sarah Lurtz showed there mens street attire. A live skate exhibition was featured in the DBD gallery with a 24′ Half Pipe installation. The event was a fundraiser for the first annual Woodbridge Summerfest.
